Mowlem Big Weekend – ‘Art For Fun’ with AndyKnillArt

Andy hosts ‘Art for Fun’ usually from his shop in Swanage all year round. For the Big Weekend he brings it to The Mowlem. An art activity suitable for all ages and low cost to increase access. Andy shares his professional marker pens with everyone to try drawing as an activity and also his experience as a Purbeck artist since 2017. From £0.50 each, come and draw.

Andy is a retired geography teacher whose art journey started because of his personal mental health and seeking a distraction from working in 2015. In 2017 he set out to find out if his art would sell locally. In 2026 he is still selling art but also encouraging others to try art using easy to access tools – fine liners and marker pens. He doesn’t teach art skills but shares his enthusiasm and range of ideas with all takers. He enjoys communicating with others and sharing how art can make a difference in our lives through creating. 

Now based at AndyKnill Art Studio, 21 Commercial Road, Swanage all year round.
