Celebration of Purbeck Women

Join us on International Women’s Day to celebrate the incredible  women of Purbeck and the women in your life.
Meet and celebrate the women within our community who are inspiring, caring and leading on important initiatives. Listen to women-centred poetry. There will be a creative experience which all are invited to participate in, inspired by International Women’s Day. We invite you to join us in The Showbar afterwards for a chance to meet and mingle. All are welcome at this event. Young people are encouraged to meet the amazing women role models in Purbeck.
This is an opportunity to acknowledge, celebrate and honour the incredible roles, work and contributions of women in our lives.
This event is led by Fiona McNee, host of Purbeck Sounds’ Words to Inspire Poetry radio programme, and is a partnership between Poetry Purbeck, The Mowlem, and Purbeck Sounds, to celebrate International Women’s Day. All proceeds from the event go to funding future arts projects in Purbeck.
