We are delighted, once again, to be screening films as part of the Purbeck Film Festival.
CELEBRATION OF GERALD DURRELL’S CENTENARY WITH SPECIAL GUEST DR LEE DURRELL
A unique opportunity to celebrate through film, written extracts and Q&A, Gerald Durrell’s centenary. His widow and biographical editor, Dr Lee Durrell, will guide us through his life, also focusing on the establishment of Durrell Trust and the renowned Jersey Zoo, first to initiate ‘captive breeding’ and reintroduction of species into the wild. Lee will be available for a book signing of Myself and Other Animals.
‘Never has there been such an accomplished, wonderful, and admirable institution as Durrell.’ – Sir David Attenborough
Followed by THE VELVET QUEEN
In the heart of the Tibetan highlands, an award-winning photographer guides a writer in his quest to document the infamously elusive snow leopard. French with subtitles.
