Swanage Literary Festival: Swanage Poetry Group

Come and listen to some of our talented local poets, hosted by Martin Hobdell

The current Swanage Poetry Group was set up by Martin in 2015. It is a blend of talented poets, reading and performing their own compositions, covering a wide range of topics and incorporating a variety of styles.

Martin is a comedy performance poet originally from Tottenham, who has performed at a number of Purbeck venues. He managed to get the Group incorporated into the PAW Festival in 2016 and now they have appeared 7 times, originally at The Square and Compass, then The Globe and, most recently at the British Legion where the Group now meets on the 2nd Monday of every month.
