DESCRIPTION:SoundCellar Presents: The Bossa Definitiva Trio with Roger Beaujolais\n		Vibraphone player Roger Beaujolais has been a well-established musician since the ’80s when he found early success touring with the bands Chevalier Brothers and Fairground Attraction\, and later became heavily involved with the ’90s acid jazz movement. Since then\, he has worked with some of the biggest names on the UK jazz scene\, and as a session musician\, he has worked with everyone from Robert Plant to Paul Weller. Our version imagines a sea of simple clay figures — each one shaped by the hands of its maker — coming together as a collective artwork. \nEveryone is invited to take part and contribute! Drop in\, make your own clay figurine\, and add it to the growing installation. Whether you’re a confident maker or trying clay for the first time\, your contribution becomes part of a shared creative moment.  \nWith simple instructions\, this is for everyone. \nThe completed Purbeck Field will be exhibited in a special installation on the evening of Sunday 31 May from 6-8pm.  \nHelen Leary is a Purbeck-based creative with a BA (Hons) in History of Art and an MA in Exhibition Studies. She has led a range of children’s workshops in The Mowlem Studio and brings a warm\, welcoming approach to creative participation. Andy shares his professional marker pens with everyone to try drawing as an activity and also his experience as a Purbeck artist since 2017. From £0.50 each\, come and draw. \nAndy is a retired geography teacher whose art journey started because of his personal mental health and seeking a distraction from working in 2015. In 2017 he set out to find out if his art would sell locally. In 2026 he is still selling art but also encouraging others to try art using easy to access tools – fine liners and marker pens. He doesn’t teach art skills but shares his enthusiasm and range of ideas with all takers. DESCRIPTION:Mowlem Big Weekend – Poetry Treasure Hunt: Words to Inspire (Age 7+)\nLet imaginations take flight in this creative\, confidence‑boosting poetry workshop for children aged 7 and up! Through fun prompts\, playful word games\, and gentle guided activities\, young writers will explore how to turn their ideas into poems full of colour\, feeling\, and personality. \nNo experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. Children will be encouraged to share their thoughts\, try out new ideas\, and enjoy the magic of language in a relaxed\, friendly setting. All materials are provided. \nPerfect for budding writers\, daydreamers\, storytellers\, and anyone who loves to be creative. \nSuggested donation of £6 per child (includes £1 booking fee). Through simple writing exercises\, improvisation and shared ideas\, you’ll get a feel for how theatre can grow from personal experience. Find out how Diverse City works with real stories\, and have a go at shaping your own in a supportive\, creative space.  \nNo acting experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. This supportive session is perfect for anyone aged 16+ who wants to build confidence\, try something new\, or explore theatre in a relaxed\, welcoming environment.
