DESCRIPTION:SoundCellar & Swanage Jazz Festival present J Fashole-Luke Trio\nJ Fashole-Luke is a multi instrumentalist who is in high demand particularly for live piano performances. He has performed all over Europe at Jazz Festivals (including Montreaux\, Vienne\, North Sea\, Swanage and Vienna Jazz Festivals and in UK at Glastonbury\, Bestival\, Boomtown\, Shambala\, Hyde Park and Isle Of Wight Festivals)\, as well as many other public performances and private engagements. \nDuring this time Jonathan has performed with top British jazz artists including Gary Crosby\, Jay Phelps\, Tony Kofi and has even jammed with American legends Marcus Miller\, Isaiah Sharkey and Roy Hargrove. Jonathan Has also appeared at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and performed live on BBC2s Later With Jools Holland. More recently he has been worked with some top vocalists including chart topping UK singer Alexandra Burke\, RnB titan Usher and living legend Dolly Parton. \nJ Fashole-Luke’s original music draws from a wide range of influences across many genres and this show provides a heady blend of striking melodies\, unusual time signatures\, imaginative harmonies and driving rhythms. This dynamic duo performs bebop\, timeless standards\, and infectious Latin grooves. Nigel Price is one of the UK’s most respected and hard-working jazz guitarists\, celebrated for his fluent bebop lines\, deep blues sensibility and masterful chording. Over a career spanning more than 25 years\, he has become a central figure on the British jazz scene\, regularly appearing at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club with over 600 performances to his name. Starting his professional journey in his early 20s\, Price toured Europe with reggae and funk bands before focusing on jazz. \nHe has played on more than 60 albums\, including several as a leader\, and spent a decade with acid jazz outfit The Filthy Six. He also spent three years with the James Taylor Quartet\, contributing to five albums\, and has performed with legendary producer and artist David Axelrod. Price has received numerous accolades\, including a Parliamentary Jazz Award and a British Jazz Award for Best Guitarist. In recent years he has organised extensive UK tours and founded the charity Grassroots Jazz to support live jazz venues. \nScottish guitarist Neil Burns has been immersed in the South West jazz scene for many years. He has performed throughout Europe and is a regular collaborator with leading trumpeter Steve Waterman\, guitar legend Jim Mullen and vibraphonist Roger Beaujolais. He has also worked with artists including Jacqui Dankworth\, Zoe Rahman\, Simon Spillett\, Dave Newton\, Mark Bassey\, Bobby Wellins\, Greg Abate and The Haggis Horns\, to name just a few. Our aim is to bring the next generation of hilarious talent to venues – we love the buzz of when audiences come away from a gig with a new favourite comic that they didn’t know before a show. The format is simple: you\, your friends and the company of three hilarious comics from the UK circuit. The perfect recipe for a top night out! \nThis month we welcome: \nSean PercivalSean appears regularly at all the top comedy clubs in the UK. He has ‘headlined’ the Glee Clubs\, the Comedy Stores\, the Komedias\, the Stands\, the last Laugh\, Funhouse and the JTT Comedy Lofts. He’s performed in comedy tents at the Glastonbury\, Reading\, Download and Bearded Theory festivals amongst others. \nKelly ConveyKelly has no filter when it comes to her opinions on sex and society\, sharing in her hilarious wholehearted performance that will make you feel like you’ve known her for years. Her refreshing and funny approach has led her to work on various projects with Unilad and record an episode for the online Comedy Central series Achievement Unlocked. She also appeared on the hit Channel 4 show First Dates. \nJenny CollierJenny Collier is a multi-award winning stand up comedian\, writer and actor.
