Off The Kerb Productions Presents: The Mowlem Comedy Club
Your chance to catch the best comedy talent in a club environment! Off The Kerb’s shows are renowned for their superb lineups, showcasing exciting up-and-coming talent along with established names on the UK comedy circuit. Our aim is to bring the next generation of hilarious talent to venues – we love the buzz of when audiences come away from a gig with a new favourite comic that they didn’t know before a show. The format is simple: you, your friends and the company of three hilarious comics from the UK circuit. The perfect recipe for a top night out!
The comedians performing this month are Alistair Barrie, Paul F Taylor and Louise Leigh.
Alistair Barrie is one of the top headliners on the international comedy circuit. A regular at London’s world-famous Comedy Store, he has performed in over 40 countries including acclaimed performances in Australia, Cape Town, Mumbai, New Zealand and the legendary Comedy Cellar in New York.
He has made countless appearances at UK music festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival and Green Man and taken several solo shows to The Edinburgh Festival. His 2013 and 2015 shows were nominated for ‘Best Show at The Fringe’ with the latter transferring to London for a run at The Soho Theatre, and he was runner-up in the 2015 English Comedian of the Year.
His 2018 show, ‘The InternationAL’ premiered at the 2018 Melbourne Festival and went on to Edinburgh where it received a highly coveted five star review from The Scotsman, before selling out its entire run at The 2019 New Zealand International Comedy Festival. After a limited run sold out in 2021, Alistair returned to Edinburgh in 2022 with the critically acclaimed ‘Alistaircratic,’ with The Herald describing him as ‘one of the UK’s sharpest comedians’.
The award winning Paul F Taylor is one of the UK’s most exciting and distinctive stand-up performers. His unique brand of humour fuses quirky offbeat one liners with surreal observational flights of fancy to fantastical effect.
Nominated as NATY New Act Of The Year for 2013 and GQ Magazine’s comedian of the week, Paul’s persona of a lost bewildered fool sits perfectly alongside his gleefully madcap ideas.
“An impressive knack for both observational wit and quirky flights of fancy.” – The Evening Standard“Should be required viewing for all wannabe surrealists” -The Skinny

Alongside that Louise has racked up an impressive 5! Solo shows performing at festivals including Glasgow, Bath, Exeter, Chippenham, Bristol, Edinburgh & Brighton to name a few. Louise has also performed in Holland & Spain and provided tour support for Carl Hutchinson, Nabil Abdulrashid & Stephen Bailey
