Mowlem Big Weekend – Sea Pictures (16+)

Elgar’s beloved song cycle Sea Picture’s come to the Mowlem’s Big Weekend. With its majestic sweeping surges, these 5 Victorian poems, masterfully set by Elgar have been a regular on the great concert halls around the world. Here we bring them accompanied by Louise Dukes on the piano to the Show Bar to be accompanied also by the backdrop of the sea that inspired them.

Sarah Pring Bio:

Mezzo-soprano Sarah Pring is a regular on the stages of Royal Ballet and Opera, English National Opera and Glyndebourne. She is joined by Louise Dukes for this unique performance in their home county. They performed this masterpiece as one of the highlights of Destination Opera’s Advent(ure) a living advent calendar of 12 live performances across Portland last December.
