IT MUST BE LOVE! Swanage Musical Theatre Company Brings Madness to The Mowlem!
Following the roaring success of Beauty and the Beast, Swanage Musical Theatre Company is back – and this time, they’re bringing a whole lot of Madness to Swanage!
Get ready to dust off your baggy trousers, pull on your dancing shoes and take a trip down the streets of Camden Town as Swanage Musical Theatre Company (SMTC) prepares to raise the roof of The Mowlem, Swanage, from 18th to 20th March 2027, with the smash-hit musical Our House!
Tickets go on sale through The Mowlem website, and at the box office on Wednesday 14th October at 11 AM
Following the success of their spectacular production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, the talented local amateur theatre company is swapping fairy-tale castles for the colourful, chaotic and wonderfully cheeky world of British pop legends Madness.
Packed with unforgettable hits including Baggy Trousers, It Must Be Love, House of Fun, Driving in My Car, My Girl and, of course, Our House, this award-winning musical promises a feel-good night of laughter, love, nostalgia and plenty of toe-tapping tunes.
Set in Camden Town, Our House tells the story of Joe Casey, a young lad whose life takes a dramatic turn on his sixteenth birthday. Faced with a split-second decision, Joe’s story follows two very different paths – one where he does the right thing and one where he takes the easy way out. What follows is a rollercoaster of romance, friendship, family, heartbreak and hilarious moments, all brought to life through the unmistakable music of Madness.
With its clever storyline, larger-than-life characters and infectious soundtrack, Our House is a musical that will have audiences laughing one minute, reaching for the tissues the next, and singing all the way home!
